Certificates and Christian Degrees

 

The Christian degree programs of The Leaders’ Institute are designed to equip students to follow the Lord in the work of the ministry, to offer a systematic vehicle to mature believers, and provide a means for students to obtain degrees recognized by most churches, ministry institutions, and ministry organizations.

 

The types of certificates and degrees offered are the following:

 

Certificate

To earn a certificate, a student must complete 30 credit hours or 10 courses in a major area of concentration.

 

Associate’s Degree

An Associate’s Degree is awarded to a student who successfully completes 60 credit hours or 20 three-hour courses.

 

Bachelor’s Degree

A Bachelor’s Degree is awarded to a student who successfully completes 120 credit hours or 40 three-hour courses.

 

Master’s Degree

A Master’s Degree is awarded to a student who successfully completes a minimum of 36 credit hours above the Bachelor’s Degree program for college credit. Formal teaching, ministry and life experiences may qualify a student for additional credits.

 

Doctoral Degree

A Doctoral Degree is generally awarded to a student who completes 45-credit hours above the Master’s Degree program for college credit.  Formal teaching, ministry and life experiences may qualify a student for additional credits.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD SCHEDULE AN ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT SESSION BEFORE DECIDING ON A PARTICULAR DEGREE PROGRAM AND MAJOR AREA OF CONCENTRATION.

All students are advised to register first for the required courses and those numbered at the 100 and 200 levels. 

 

 

How quickly one matriculates through a particular program of study depends on several factors :

  • Availability of instructors
  • Student demand for particular courses
  • Enrollment
